Kangana Ranaut Calls JNU Attack A 'Gang War', Says "Such Things Should Not Be Made A National Issue"

The violence inside the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus has taken the entire nation by storm. Violence inside the universities has become rather regular these days but what attracted attention towards the JNU violence is the fact that the Delhi Police couldn’t do anything to stop it because they were waiting for the VC’s permission to act. Many celebs have condemned the attack and a number of students and teachers, including JNUSU president Aishee Ghosh had been injured. Deepika Padukone chose to extend her support by being physically present at the campus during the protest. A number of celebs lauded her for this.

Now Panga actress Kangana Ranaut has talked about the violence inside JNU campus. In an interview to Pinkvilla, she has called it a ‘gang war’ manipulated by ‘powerful and dangerous people’ and she is of the belief that something like this should not be made a national issue.

    Here is what she said:

"Masked mob attack occurred at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is currently being investigated and understood that there are two sides namely JNU and ABVP in the university. I must tell you that a gang war is quite common during college life. I used to stay at a girl's hostel alongside boys hostel where some boys used to follow and murder anyone in broad daylight. One boy jumped into our hostel who was about to get killed by a mob, but our hostel manager saved him. I would like to say that these gang wars are managed by some powerful and dangerous people which leaves both sides physically hurt and such things should not be made a national issue. Police should take some into custody and beat the hell out of them. Such people are found everywhere in every street, college and they should not be made a national issue because such issues don’t deserve it'.

Well, what are your thoughts on this matter? Do you agree with Kangana Ranut?
