Kangana Ranaut Clarifies Her 'B-Grade Actor' Comment, Says It Is How The Industry Will Perceive 'Outsiders'

It is a well-known fact by now that you can love Kangana Ranaut or hate Kangana Ranaut, but you just can not ignore Kangana Ranaut. She has been known for her statements which are without diplomacy and presented as it is, bluntly. After Sushant Singh Rajput's tragic demise, she has spoken up yet again about the Bollywood mafias and nepotism. In fact, she had given an explosive interview with a TV channel where she called actresses like Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhasker as 'B-grade'. A lot of controversies have opened up after that. Now, in another interview, the actress has clarified the comment.

Talking to Bombay Times, Kangana Ranaut clarified that 'B-grade actors' is how the industry will perceive outsiders as. She said, "When Swara says that 'I'm Sonam Kapoor's best friend', that's not how the world perceives her. No! No matter how much Taapsee Pannu says that everybody loves her, and she has gotten equal opportunities, no! People do not perceive her as somebody who is equal to an Alia Bhatt or Ananya Pandey. No! So that's what I try to convey – that no matter how much you try and fit in, you are not fitting in. If you are not seeing it, let me show you – in their world, you are still B-grade. I have been through those galis, I know where it goes! So that's what I try to convey to them. If you think you are fitting in and now you have also become insiders, no, you're not."

She also revealed that she had tried desperately to fit in and be like other actresses at one point in time. She added, "I went through that phase where I straightened my hair, I stuffed my lips with botox, I started to do films like 'Rascals', I wore a bikini – I wanted to be desperately accepted. I went through that. I wanted to be on the cover pages of magazines. I wanted to win awards. But it is not going to help. I was still B-grade and they did not accept me."

We wonder what Taapsee or Swara would have to say to that!
