Kangana Ranaut: ‘Didn't Have The Thought Of Killing Myself But Definitely Shaving My Head Off And Disappearing’

Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise was undoubtedly one of the most shocking news reports the nation woke up to this year. The very talented actor was reportedly suffering from depression and rumors suggest that he was boycotted and shut out from the industry by Bollywood biggies. In a recent chat with Republic World, the bold and beautiful Kangana Ranaut recalled that she had signed 18 brands in 2016, all of which dropped her because her ex from 2013 had filed a case against her. She was then tagged as a ‘man-eater’ and ‘witch’ and suddenly marriage wasn't an option for her. Kangana also remembered that filmmaker Karan Johar went to the London School of Economics and had stated, “Kangana should leave the film industry. She should get out right away.” The actress shared, “A human being has only three main things — Emotional, social, and career life - They choked everything for me. I can't get married, no financial future, don't you think the thought of suicide would cross my mind?”

Kangana went on to say that someone like her, who earned 3 National Awards and a Padmashri on the basis of acting, never made it to KJo’s list of good actors, just like Sushant. She recalled, “18 brands dropped me within 2 months. Where are my options? Maybe I didn't have the thought of killing myself but definitely shaving my head off and disappearing. My relatives didn't let their children meet me because you turned me into a nymphomaniac. Called me so many things in public. As a girl, having a marriage and a child is no more an option for me. They turned Sushant also into a rapist. How will he go back to Bihar? Small cities don't value money, they value respect.”

After all the struggles she faced over the many years, Kangana stands tall today as one of the most accomplished and sought-after actresses of the Hindi film industry.
