Kangana Ranaut Finds Support In Nirbhaya's Mother For Slamming Lawyer Indrani Jaisingh Who Suggested Forgiving The Culprits

The culprits of the horrific Nirbhaya rape case have been sentenced to death and will be hanged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail on 1 February. Senior lawyer Indrani Jaisingh recently tweeted against the death penalty and requested Nirbhaya’s mother for forgive the culprits.

Indrani wrote on Twitter, “While I fully identify with the pain of xxxxxx (Nirbhaya’s mother) I urge her to follow the example of Sonia Gandhi who forgave Nalini and said she didn’t not want the death penalty for her. We are with you but against death penalty.”

The tweet drew a lot of backlash notably from Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut who at a press event for her film Panga said that the lawyer should be lodged in prison with the four men accused in the matter.

The actress is known for her uninhibited responses at the event said, “That lady should be locked in a jail with them for four days. She needs it. What kind of women are these who feel sympathetic? Such women given birth to monsters. These women give birth to people who them feel sympathy for, feel love for such people, murderers.”

Kangana has now found support in Nirbhaya’s mother who thanked the Pnaga actress. Talking to ANI she said, “Main Kangana Ranaut ke bayaan se sahmat hun. Main unka dhanyawad karti hun. Lekin main kisi ki tarah mahaan nahi banna chahti. Main maa hun lekin main mahaan nahi banna chahti hun. Yeh log human rights ke naam par sirf business karte hain aur apradhiyon ko bachate hain.”

At the same event Kangana also vented out about people perceiving her as negative and added, “I cannot think something else and say something else and then there is this extremely harsh realisation of how the world is judging me and it is like a big slap on your face. You will experience life first hand you cannot experience it through someone else’s perspective. So, at times it is very shocking! I fail to understand how one can be so prejudiced against another. I feel very worried about the kind of image I have among people. I remember an instance; it is about the airport staff. They were sharing their experience with actors with some journalists and someone asked about me, ‘How is Kangana? Is she a psycho in reality?’”

Kangana’s film Panga will release in theatres on 24 January.
