Kangana Ranaut On The Lookout For A Better Director Than Her For The Next Manikarnika Film, More Than Happy To Just Act

Actress Kangana Ranaut might shoulder the directorial responsibilities of her recently announced film Manikarnika: The Legend Of Didda after having directed the first film of the franchise with filmmaker Krish which released two years ago. The actress has, however, in a recent interview said that she’s trying to find someone to direct the film.

Manikarnika, which is now a franchise, will aim to tell the stories of real-life stories of women and their valor. After the first film which narrated the life story of the Queen of Jhansi, Kangana will now return to the big screen as Didda, the formidable queen who once ruled Kashmir.

Talking about the filmmaking duties for this second Manikarnika project, Kangana told the Times of India, "I have delivered a Rs 100 crore film as a director with 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi'. So, I will try and keep myself as the director unless I find someone better than me for this job.”

"Obviously, I will be more than happy to just act as an actor because I have lots of responsibilities in terms of other projects that Manikarnika productions is going to announce. The pressure is a lot but I do believe that I can do a lot. So, I'm looking for someone to direct but if not then I am there, I will definitely do it,” the actress added.

The actress who is presently devoted to completing her prior commitments hopes to take the film on floors in 2022.
