Kangana Is Scared Of How People Perceive Her

Kangana Ranaut On The Negative Perception About Her: 'Journalists Ask Airport Staff, Is She A Psycho In Reality?’

It has been said time and again that Kangana Ranaut is one actress who is undaunted and doesn’t bother about the repercussions that might befall because of what she says. She is ready to face all the backlash with a valour-front that is what is commendable about her. Because of this attitude, people have kind of made a certain mold about her in their minds and that came across when her Panga co-star Jassie Gill went on to state in a number of his interviews that, before working with Kangana, many came up to him and said he shouldn’t be working with Kangana because she is dominant and will not let him have his space in the film. Even though Jassie had refuted all those claims and said that Kangana is a great co-star to work with, this sheds light on the kind of mental impression Kangana has on the people around her.

It was during a conversation at a recent press conference held by the Panga team that we asked Kangana about it. She said, everyone has a perspective and it is strange how people are so prejudiced about her and that it is like a slap on all of her achievements.

Quipped she, “I think definitely one has a certain kind of a perspective. One’s perspective is directly proportionate to one’s own personality. Well, the light will fall on you first and then it will get reflected on the other. It depends on how we are personally and on that depends our mindset towards the world. I feel everyone is trustworthy.”

She further went on to reveal, how she came to know how she was called a psycho in public. “I cannot think something else and say something else and then there is this extremely harsh realisation of how the world is judging me and it is like a big slap on your face. You will experience life first hand you cannot experience it through someone else’s perspective. So, at times it is very shocking! I fail to understand how one can be so prejudiced against another. I feel very worried about the kind of image I have among people. I remember an instance; it is about the airport staff. They were sharing their experience with actors with some journalists and someone asked about me, ‘How is Kangana? Is she a psycho in reality?’” She stated.

“When you hear something like that, in your head, you are like, - what kind of a question is that? It is really unfair to address someone in that light. It has lessened a bit though now. Till now people feel I am a psycho or aggressive but when I was new to the industry, I felt as though, I didn’t come out of my mother’s womb, as if I had fallen from a tree. The way I was perceived is completely bizarre.” She declared.

Ms Ranaut went on to say that the inexplicable urge of the to molehills into mountains gets her scared about how people will perceive her actions and what she does forever.  “When my sister gave birth to a child, she said I want to post a picture on my social media. I told her, you are in the hospital, they have cut your insides and you want to post a picture! She told me, they won’t believe this is my baby. Looking at the media, they will say, this is your baby and you gave it to me. My nephew is so fair and pale and has curly hair… so, you see, you never know, we are living in such fear. She has seen me through phases when people used to say, I stay in a house full of black curtains and black walls and that I do black magic. That’s when my sister put her foot down and said, I want the magazines to cover your house. I am not the kind of person who will bring magazines to my house. But she was adamant, I will have to do this, she asked me, how can you go on every platform and be so defensive, life becomes so difficult. Does that happen to anybody from the film industry? It does not. It is a very scary thing, the way it all is perceived. She is all the time on Twitter. Two years ago, things were not the same way. She has become so protective because of all the bizarre things people talk about me.”

When an actress reaches the stature she has reached there are bound to be all sort so talks! There are bound to be conversations against her but she is someone who makes sure to give it back, sometimes her sister does it on her behalf. But is the justification for that matter important for someone like her and is it really important for her to clear her stance is what I wanted to know. “To be honest, your work is a reflection of your inner world, I do feel all the love that I have from people it is all that matters irrespective of how the industry treats me. But my family feels that how things are perceived in my case is very harsh so they feel the need of wanting to post things and pictures and even when I am in my personal space, she is always posting things. Sometimes, I tell her, I don’t want this post but my family feels it is important.” The actress concluded.
