Kangana Ranaut On Turning Producer: “Comfortable Being A Big Star Who Gets Seetis, And A Creator Who Works Behind The Scenes”

Kangana Ranaut has been a super ssuccesful actress. In the last decade, audiences have seen her grow tremendously and achieve the pinnacle of fame. In fact, she also ventured into direction when she co-directed Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi after director’s Krish’s unavailability. She has now started her own production house, Manikarnika Films and audiences are only waiting to see the films she would give a go-ahead to as a producer!

But will she also make shows for the web like her fellow actress,, Anushka Sharma is doing? Talking about it to TOI, the actress said, “I got huge success as an artiste. I have established myself as a content creator and launched my production house this year. I understand that the digital space is becoming big. Do I have to now look at a future as a content creator because that medium is for actors, not superstars? I’d say that it’s a different medium, and these things will be evaluated in due course. I am comfortable being a big star who gets seetis, and a content creator who works behind the scenes. Right now, I am also not certain which medium I would make content for. Films were quite dramatic when they were meant for theatres alone, but with the changing dynamics, we can’t say how content will shape up. It’s early to decide which way to go.”

She also added that she has a lot to learn even now, but adds that the success she has achieved has a high price. So, she will be open to ‘whatever life decides’.Well, her fans would be eager to see the path she chooses, isn’t it?
