Kangana Ranaut’s tweets have led to another police complaint being filed against the actress for alleged hate mongering. The actress responded to the criminal complaint filed against her by dragging in Aamir Khan’s old statements about growing intolerance in the country in her recent tweets. The actress also claimed that case against her was a result of speaking against the Maharashtra government that was trying to put her in jail.

“Candle March gang, award vapsi gang dekho this is what happens to anti fascist establishment revolutionaries, not like you all tumko koi poochta bhi nahin, look at me there is a meaning to my life fighting real fascist government in Maharashtra not a fraud like you all,” the actress wrote.

Not deterred by the idea of going to jail for speaking her mind the actress added, “I worship people like Savarkar, Neta Bose and Rani of Jhansi. Today the government trying to put me in jail that makes me feel confident of my choices, waiting to be in jail soon n go through same miseries my idols were subjected to, it will give a meaning to my life, Jai Hind.”

In another tweet, Kangana tagged Aamir Khan and made an oblique reference to Aamir Khan’s old statement where he had once said that he was alarmed by the growing intolerance in the country and his wife had suggested they move out of the country. In Hindi the actress wrote, “The way Rani Lakshmibai’s fort was broken, my house was also broken; the way Veer Savarkar was put in jail for rebellion, they are trying their best to send me to jail as well. Someone should go and ask the intolerance gang about how much pain they have gone through in this intolerant nation @aamir_khan.”

Kangana and her sister Rangoli Chandel have already been summouned by the Mumbai Police next week to record their statements. The case against her was filed by a local advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh, who told the Andheri Magistrate Court that the actress has, “no respect for varied communities of India, law of the land and authorised government bodies" and also alleged that she mocked the judiciary. Allegations of sedition and disrupting harmony between two religions were also a part of his complaint.
