It was three years back that the Me Too movement in India took pace and women from all spheres called out the harassment and the harasser. Many in Bollywood had been accused of sexual harassment and that also included Queen director Vikas Bahl. It was primarily because of this that Phantom Films disintegrated. In fact, Kangana Ranaut, who had worked with Bahl for Queen, had opened up about how uncomfortable she felt when he hugged how and how he bragged about casual relationships despite being married. But, as the film completed 7 years, Kangana took the opportunity to thank him as well!

Queen completed 7 years yesterday and it was a special day for Kangana who revealed how she never expected the film to release, but when it did, it became an explosion and gave her the recognition that was due. Late last night, the actress shared a picture with Vikas Bahl and wrote, "Vikas sir wherever we may be with our friendship today but I do believe you played a very significant role in shaping my destiny, I enjoyed every minute of our creative partnership and today when I see #7yearsofqueen trending... I want to say thanks to you. Thank you so much." See the tweet here:

In an interview in 2018, Kangana had talked about Vikas' misbehaviour and said, “Every time we met, socially greeted and hugged each other, he would bury his face in my neck, hold me really tight and breathe in the smell of my hair. It took me great amount of strength and effort to pull myself out of his embrace. He’d say ‘I love how you smell K’.”
