Kangana Ranaut extended greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 71st birthday and penned a long note while sharing a throwback picture of her meeting him. In her note the actress has called the Prime Minister the ‘world’s most popular leader’ and a ‘role model' for those who dare to dream big.

“Birthday greetings to Honourable Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji, your relentless pursuit to serve our country every day is an inspiration to us all. You remain world’s most popular leader and a role model for every single one of us who dares to dream big,” Kangana wrote in the beginning of her note.

The Thalaivii star went on to remark how the personal sacrifices of someone as successful as him are often ignored while people only see the public glories. She spoke of the many obstacles he had to overcome and how he even won over his critics.

Kangana who is rather open about her political views and often comments on the political ongoings in the country added, “I have always believed that a citizen has a right to question or criticise their leader, not only you have always listened to the common man but you have also mastered the art of remaining calm and in control when the critique comes from an irrational place, I hope to master that art someday too, haha.”

The national award-winning actress complimented the PM on his handling of the pandemic and concluded her note writing, “May you live a long and healthy life, and keep on serving this great nation. Once again, a very happy birthday Mr Prime Minister ?.”

Kangana's latest film Thalaivii is currently running in theatres where she plays the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalaithaa on screen.
