Late Wajid Khan’s wife posted a long note narrating her struggles of being in an inter-faith marriage where she was continuously pressured to convert to Islam by her husband’s family. Kamalrukh voiced her support for the anti-conversion bill as she pointed out that she’s still fighting for her kids’ inheritance and the harassment from the family continued even after the music composer’s death.

Actress Kangana Ranaut has now reacted to Kamalrukh’s post and said, ‘child who does most drama unfairly gets most attention and advantages. And the one who is worthy, sensitive most caring and deserving ends up being a nanny to the one who keeps throwing fits.’

Kamalrukh who is Parsi married Wajid Khan after dating for 10 years and said that her ‘independence, education and democratic value system was the biggest problem for my husband's family,’ she further added, “my resistance to convert to Islam drastically widened the divide between me and my husband, making it toxic enough to destroy our relationship as husband and wife, and his ability to be a present father to our kids.”

Kangana in a series of tweets said that Parsis are a small minority in the country who ‘did not come as invaders’ but as ‘seekers’ who ‘gently requested for mother India’s love’ adding that they need to be protected.
