    Karan Johar Celebrates 11 Years Of My Name Is Khan, Thanks 'Bhai' Shah Rukh Khan & Kajol: This One Will Be Cherished Forever

    Karan Johar is celebrating the 11th year anniversary of his film My Name Is Khan and penned down a heartfelt note along with posting some memorable snippets from the movie in a video. The filmmaker thanked Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol the lead actors of the film for being a part of this cherished project.

    The film that released in 2010 was a success both domestically and internationally and told the story of a Muslim autistic man in the U.S. who teaches a much needed lesson in religious tolerance in a post 9/11 world.

    Karan celebrated this special movie in his filmography by writing, “All we have is our stories and this one will be cherished forever. Thank you bhai for being the soul of this film. Kajol for being an unbreakable rock to Rizwan and us. To Shibani for writing a story that is still relevant in today's world... And to the entire team that embarked on this challenging journey together. I will always be grateful to each and every one of you.”

    My Name Is Khan was a big success and earned Rs. 193.14 crores globally according to box office India. It was also screened at the Berlin Film Festival where the high priced tickets for the screening sold out in five seconds flat.

    The film also had actors Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan as assistant directors who later went on to be directed by Karan in the 2012 film Student Of The Year.
