Karan Johar Cuts Down Takht And Brahmastra Budget? No Dharma Film To Be Shot Abroad In 2020!

It was just Good Newwz that released at the end of 2019 which happened to be a success at the box-office and besides that, the other films from Karan Johar's Dharma Production including Student Of The Year 2, Kalank and Drive failed to do well at the box office.

This is one of the main reasons why Dharma Productions is in on a backfoot. Karan Johar is seriously speculating some of his moves and is making sure he doesn’t quite take any hasty decision.

Karan Johar Cuts Down Takht And Brahmastra Budget? No Dharma Film To Be Shot Abroad In 2020!

A Bollywood Hungama report quotes a source as saying, “From scrapping commercially uncertainly projects, to cutting down the budget of his ambitious directorial Takht, Karan Johar is considering all of that.”

Now, just because the comedy films have worked, Dostana 2 which has a homosexual love plot is being splurged upon, on the other hand, Ayan Mukherji’s Brahmastra has been asked to cut down on its budget too.  The report quotes the same source as saying, “Ayan has been over-shooting Bramhastra. The film is taking longer to complete than any other previous Dharma Production. Costly stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt all of whom have been paid their market price, are apparently charging extra for all the additional dates needed to complete Bramhastra,”

It has been further reported that none of the films that are produced under the Dharma banner will be shot abroad in 2020 and the films which were slated to be shot abroad will be scrapped.

Now Dharma Productions will make sure it doesn't really overspend on projects and therefore, Karan Johar will really tighten his purse strings and will look into the project closely before he shells out a penny for the film!

Well, that surely is a good move, at last money found its worth!
