Karan Johar Jokes About Kaal Launching Bhoot Trailer: When I Wasn’t Scared After Watching Kaal, That Made Me Really Scared

Kaal is perhaps one of the most joked about horror films in Bollywood and when Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is attempting another film in the genre 15 years later with Vicky Kaushal’s Bhoot: The Haunted Ship, the mention of the film was bound to come up. At the trailer launch of the Vicky’s film, a journalist appreciated Karan Johar’s Kaal that featured Ajay Devgn and the filmmaker and producer himself couldn’t help laughing.

Karan who has admitted he is not a big fan of horror flicks was thankful that a film that nobody liked she was able to like and said, “Jab main Kaal dekh ke nahi dara that oh main bohot darr gaya tha” (when I wasn’t scared after watching Kaal, that’s what really made me scared).

Ajay Devgn himself had also joked about the 2005 disaster on Karan’s chat show and said that while he believed all of Karan’s ‘K’ films work till he did Kaal with him.

Vicky Kaushal who is the star of Bhoot: The Haunted Ship also shared that when Karan saw the trailer even before the music started and the ghost entered the screen and the filmmaker was already reacting and added that he is the most wrong audience for a horror film as his reactions would make the directors hopes go up and make him film that he has made a marvelous film even before anything has happened. The actor admitted that like Karan he isn’t a big fan of horror either.

Bohot: The Haunted Ship is all set to release in theatres on 21 February 2020.
