Karan Johar Refutes Rumours About Acquisition Of His Film Takht, Calls Them Baseless

Karan Johar’s Takht is surely facing a hard time. Besides, there are so many speculations about the movie rife in the media. It was earlier reported that the film has been shelved because Fox star studios had backed out. Fox was not having a good year with big flops one after the other and reportedly. they thought it would be a wise decision to back out.

A news portal reported that Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions was also in talks with a big south studio called Lyca Productions. The report quotes a source as saying, “Karan has been trying to get a studio partner on board since it’s a big-budget film and requires a constant inflow of money. He is planning it on a massive scale, and making the film without a studio was never a feasible option. He had multiple conversations with LYCA Productions from South too, but the two could not reach a common ground and the deal was called off.”

The report further stated after that Karan Johar thought of getting in touch with Bhushan Kumar for an association with T-Series. And according to the report, Bhushan liked the script immediately. The story further quoted the source as saying, “It’s a dream project and he is leaving no stone unturned to make Takht the biggest film of his career.”

However, Karan Johar has taken to his social media to call out to this rumour-mongering about his film. He wrote, "News articles and speculations making the rounds about the acquisition of #TAKHT is baseless and untrue! I would request media houses to focus on more relevant and critical issues that plague our country and refrain from incorrect reportage!"
