Karan Johar Ropes In Internet Sensation Kusha Kapila For Netflix Original Ghost Stories

Internet’s breakthrough sensation Kusha Kapila has joined the cast of Karan Johar’s upcoming Netflix anthology Ghost Stories. The Behensplaining star shared a picture with the filmmaker on her Instagram handle saying ‘Karan Johar ne mera 2019 bana diya’.

Ghost Stories is an anthology which is a collaboration between four mega directors from Bollywood including Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee. The four had also directed Lust Stories for Netflix India last year which turned out to be a mega success and has also been nominated for the International Emmys 2019. Ghost Stories will see Karan directing a horror film for the first time and we have to wait and watch what part he has Kusha signed on for.

Kusha on her Instagram handle wrote, ‘YOU GUYS MANIFESTED THIS. @karanjohar ne mera 2019 bana diya, shivoham.’

Karan Johar too had shared a picture from the first day of shoot on the sets of Ghost Stories and wrote, ‘And the journey continues from LUST to GHOSTS!’

Announced in April 2019, the film already has a mega ensemble cast with Karan Johar’s film starring Avinash Tiwary and Murnal Thakur apart from Kusha. Anurag Kashyap has roped in Shobita Dhulipala and Pavail Gulati while Zoya Akhtar’s film will star Janhvi Kapoor, Radhika Madan and Raghuvir Yadav.

The anthology is due for a 2020 release.
