Karan Johar's Party Video Not Associated With Current Drug Probe Confirms NCB's Deputy Director

The Narcotics Control Bureau is currently investigating the drug angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput case and has already made over 19 arrests in the case. The news of Karan Johar’s party also being under the scanner has been doing the rounds for some time now especially after politician Manjinder Singh Sirsa submitted an application to the NCB seeking a probe in the matter.

However, NCB’s NCB South-Western Region Deputy Director-General, Mutha Ashok Jain told the media during an interaction on Saturday, "There is no connection of that said video with this case." On being prodded further to comment, the NCB official refused to share if a separate case is being built based on the video.

The clarification comes at a time when it was being speculated that Karan Johar was likely to receive a summon especially when two names formerly associated with Dharma Productions came under the scanner.

The filmmaker has also issued a statement after such reports went viral and reiterated the fact that no drugs were consumed at his party in 2019 and disassociated with the two people being interrogated being referred to as his ‘aides’ or employees of Dharma Productions.

Ashok Jain in statement to the press also confirmed that no fresh summons have been issued in the Sushant Singh Rajput case.
