Karan Oberoi's Former Band Member Sudhanshu Pandey And Actress Pooja Bedi Defend The Rape Accused Actor

Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi fame Karan Oberoi was taken into police custody yesterday after a woman registered a complaint of rape and blackmail against him in Mumbai. The arrest came as a shock to many and now actress Pooja Bedi and Karan’s former band member Sudhanshu Pandey have spoken up in support of the actor.

In an interview with Zoom, Pooja Bedi explained the history of the singer with the woman in question, “One thing I can say about Karan is that he is one of the nicest, most decent and kindest person. So when the charges of rape, extortion were laid on Karan and other things that were in blasted in were in media, the fact is we know the facts, we know how things happened. According to the known things, they met in 2016 end, in 2018 Karan filed an NC against this woman in Powai police station, post this, she filed a complaint against Karan in October 2018.”

Pooja also claimed that the complainant in 2018 had given an interview where she mentioned giving Karan expensive gifts and about their relationship and now has gone forward and accused him of extortion. "A false charge can ruin a man's life, so why is it that women should not be questioned. There should be strong action against women who misuse the law. Everyone who knows Karan has come for his defense as everyone knows Karan is an amazing guy,” the actress added.

Singer Sudhanshu Pandey on the other hand who has known Karan Oberoi since their Band Of Boys days said,   "I have known Karan for the last 20 years and we have spent so much time together, he has been a part of my life and I have been a part of his. I know his family, his dad is a retired army officer and he comes from a disciplined, sophisticated and classy background. He is a disciplined and compassionate guy. In the case of girls, we all make sure that we are respectful towards women and Karan was the most chivalrous, I can't believe that there is such a case against Karan.”

Karan Oberoi was presented before the court based on the charges against him where the singer/ actor broke down.
