Kareena Kapoor hikes fee to play sita in Alaukik Desai’s mythological drama, demanding Rs. 12 crores for the film

Kareena Kapoor is getting ready to return to sets post her maternity break and is reportedly in talks to play Sita in Alaukik Desai’s mega budget mythological project. Earlier there were also reports of Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt being considered for the project which will reportedly narrate the Ramayan from goddess Sita’s perspective, but the Veere Di Wedding actress is apparently the first choice for the part.

The latest on the project is that Kareena who has been considering the project for a few months now is seeking Rs. 12 crores as compensation to be cast in the project according to a Bollywood Hungama report. The actress who reportedly charges Rs. 6 to 8 crores per film will have to commit a few months to prepare to play Sita before the project goes on floors.

Kareena apparently also has to accommodate Veere Di Wedding 2 and a Hansal Mehta film in her schedule will reportedly shoot those projects first.

Titled Sita: The Incarnation the project has  Bahubali fame scriptwriter KV Vijayendra Prasad scripting this multi-lingual project. The movie which is being produced on a big scale will be a crown jewel in Kareena’s filmography if she signs it but it still remains to be seen if the makers will be accommodate her hiked fee.
