Kareena Kapoor playing Sita in Alaukik Desai’s film? Screenwriter K Vijayendra Prasad answers

Alaukik Desai’s much-talked-about upcoming film Sita: The Incarnation is yet to get a leading lady on board. The project which has been written by Bahubali fame K Vijayendra Prasad for the screen is the re-telling of the Ramayan from Sita’s perspective and so far names of many Bollywood divas have been in the headlines for being associated with the project.

After recent reports of Kareena Kapoor being approached for the project and demanding a hefty fee of Rs. 12 crores to play the part going around, writer K Vijayendra Prasad has responded to the rumour. According to a Spotboye report, the writer says that Kareena was never approached for the part let alone her hefty fee putting the makers in a fix. According to a source close to the production, it is all a publicity gimmick.

Apart from Kareena, names of actresses like Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon have also cropped up in the past in association with the project. Given that there has been no update about any actress signing the film, it is safe to say that the makers are yet to find the best fit for the role.

In Kareena Kapoor’s kitty currently are two films, one with Hansal Mehta and the other being a sequel of Veere Di Wedding.
