Fans just get to see the final product; they don’t really know or even slightly realise what goes behind making a film or a particular shot of a film. It is such hard work. Be it the lighting angles, the way one should face the camera, the constant cuts, the tons of people being privy to the emotions you are displaying at the moment and all of that.

This is what makes filmmaking what it is. Therein lies its essence. Actress Karisma Kapoor is one of the most sought after actresses of her times. She had given the celluloid some really memorable performances. It all started from Raja Hindustani, went on to Dil To Pagal Hai, Zubeidaa, Fiza, so on and so forth.

It was during a recent media interaction that she spoke about her 1996 superhit film Raja Hindustani that saw her kissing Aamir Khan for a sequence in the film.

What transpired behind the scenes was really grueling. The actress spilled the beans on the tough time she had behind the camera. Fans were elated to see the kiss scene and that became the most talked about thing in the film. However, the reality is the actors were shivering in the bitter cold while filming the scene. Yes, that’s true.

During the media interaction, Karisma Kapoor revealed, the scene was shot in the month of February in Ooty, and as expected, it was chilling cold all throughout and both the actors just wanted the scene to be over and done with and it took a total of three days to be shot.

It was during the same interaction, Karisma was quoted as saying, "We have so many memories of that, we have been through grueling circumstances. Like people say that kiss and all, but what we have gone through during that shoot for three days."

Recalling how the shoot happened, the actress said, "In Ooty, in February... we were like ki kab khatam ho raha hai ye kiss scene! It was freezing cold with storm fans in the month of February with freezing cold water and we worked in those circumstances from 7 till 6 in the evening, shivering away between the takes. So that was a different era of I think working in those kinds of circumstances."
