Kartik Aaryan Approached To Play A Cricketer In Sharan Sharma’s Next; Film To Go On Floors By Year End

The handsome Kartik Aaryan has been incredibly busy in the past few months. He was on break from work after he tested positive for COVID-19, but he continued to entertain his fans and followers through his quirky social media posts. Now that he has recovered, he is all set to dive right back into work. While the Bollywood heartthrob already has many exciting projects in the pipeline, latest reports have revealed that he has now signed a film in which he will portray the role of a cricketer.

This project is being helmed by Sharan Sharma, who made his debut with Janhvi Kapoor starrer Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. In a report shared by Pinkvilla, a source revealed, “Kartik and Sharan have had multiple meetings over the last few months and are all set to team up on this ambitious film. It’s set against the backdrop of cricket and Kartik will be seen portraying the role of a cricketer in this film. It’s not a biopic, but a fictional tale loaded with emotions and feel-good elements. It’s work in progress at the moment.”

The source further shared that makers are currently in talks with a top A-list actress, who has shown keen interest in the script. Other than this exciting project, Kartik will also dazzle on-screen in Ram Madhvani’s Dhamaka, horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Karan Johar’s Dostana 2, the Hindi remake of Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and Om Raut’s action film.
