One of the most adored and sought-after actors of Bollywood, Kartik Aaryan has many exciting scripts in his kitty for the coming year and was extremely busy with back-to-back shooting before the lockdown was declared. He will be featuring in the sequel of horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa with Kiara Advani and will also share the big screen with Janhvi Kapoor in Dostana 2. In fact, he had even started prepping for his first action film, which will be directed by Om Raut. That’s not all! Latest rumors suggested that Kartik will also feature in the Hindi remake of Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.

Much to the delight of fans, the actor finally opened up about the same in an interview with Film Companion. He revealed that he hasn’t been offered the film yet but feels he would be perfect for the remake. Kartik shared, “That is one film which I saw on Netflix also. It’s a lot of fun. I can’t see anyone else doing that part, it’s an enjoyable film. But I don’t know whether I’m doing the film or not (laughs). Because abhi aisa kuchh mujhe pata nahi hai ki Hindi remake ho raha hai. Maine bas padha hai, mera naam aaya hai ki I might be doing the film and the makers have approached me. In fact, main toh iss project ko hunt kar raha hun. Jab se maine yeh film dekhi hai I really feel that I fit the bill.” He added that the lockdown was declared before any offers could come his way.

Kartik also talked about the current situation of the country and the entertainment industry since the coronavirus outbreak. When asked if he would be willing to opt for pay cuts to save the economy and industry, he stated, “Yeah, 100%. If that is something that is going to help the industry then I think we all should do that. We should be up for it because we have taken a huge hit as a country also and as this industry also. We are a family and we’re a part of it, we need to come together and do whatever it takes. So I would do that.” He went on to add, “It’s not a big deal because itna zyaada mil bhi raha tha, toh utna zyaada waapas usko laane ke liye de bhi sakte hain. So I think we all should do that.”

His thoughts on pay cuts and giving back to the industry sure are inspiring! What do you think?
