Kartik Aaryan on the negativity after his exit from Dostana 2: "My family gets affected, that’s the only thing I worry about"

Kartik Aaryan is all set for his next film, Dhamaka, which will release this Friday, 19th Nov, on Netflix. Helmed by Ram Madhvani, this film can prove to be a game changer for Kartik and his fans, and the audience in general, are looking forward to it. But, this year, one of the major news was Kartik being removed from Dostana 2. The film went to the backburner, and the actor maintained a silence around the topic. Now, he has somewhat opened up about it.

Although he did not go directly into the topic or reveal what had transpired, he said that he is worried about his family when a negative news about him starts doing the rounds. Talking to radio host Siddharth Kannan, he said, “A lot of times you ask yourself, ‘Why is this happening?’ But more than myself, I feel for my family, because they don’t belong to this world. I belong to this industry, so I know that as long as you concentrate on your work, nothing else matters. But my family gets affected, and that’s the only thing I get worried about. Other than that, it doesn’t matter. I know that my work will always speak volumes. If I fall short on that front, I want to improve myself.”

Dostana 2 was to be made with Kartik, Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya Lalwani. However, Kartik was suddenly shown the door. Rumours started doing the rounds that it was because of Kartik's air and his demands, while some claimed that he was not a part of the film because of his fallout with Janhvi. Rumours also suggested that Akshay Kumar has been offered Kartik's role. But for now, the film has been stalled. Kartik, apart from Dhamaka, has Freedy, Shehzada and Satyanarayan Ki Katha in his kitty.
