Katrina Kaif And Vijay Sethupathi Starrer Merry Christmas Not Postponed Indefinitely, Shoot To Start From Mid May?

The entire nation had been looking forward to Sriram Raghavan's upcoming film that would have Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethuppathi in the lead. And why wouldn't we be excited? It would be for the first time that we will see both the stars opposite each other in a film! However, reports had been doing the rounds that the film has been stalled indefinitely. But now, it is being said that the shoot of the film will begin from mid-May in Mumbai itself.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, the shoot of the film, titled Merry Christmas will kick off from May in Mumbai. A source said, “All the ground work and pre-production is completed and the team now awaited a go-ahead from the government to start their shoot. The film will kick off around May 15, in Mumbai with Katrina and Vijay. Most of the film will be shot in the city, followed by brief schedules in Pune and Goa.” It was confirmed by Ramesh Taurani who revealed, “Yes, we plan to start shooting from Mid-May to September. We start with Mumbai and follow it up with Goa and Pune towards the end.”

However, this all depends on whether the halt in shoot would be lifted by the Mumbai government on 1st May. Vijay had also revealed earlier that he would shoot Raj and DK's series alongside Shahid from May end. He had said in an earlier interview, “We were supposed to start shooting from April 15. But Katrina caught Corona. So, the shooting schedule has been called off. My web series with Raj-DK was also scheduled to begin from the end of May. I don’t know what will happen now.” The actor, who is currently shooting in South for other projects, went on to add, “We are taking utmost precaution here. In Mumbai, I don’t know what is happening.”
