    Yash satrrer Kannada film KGF exploded at the box office soon after its arrival at the big screen two years ago. Now the makers are making solid preparations to bring forth the second chapter of the film which is highly anticipated across the country. The fans have been teased and tested about KGF Chapter 2 which is expected to arrive this year and now the news is that after the massive success of the original, the Hindi rights for the film have been sold at a whopping price to Farhan Akhtar’s Excel entertainment.

    According to an entertainment portal, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani have had to shell out something over Rs. 90 crores to bag the Hindi rights for KGF Chapter 2. Their production company which had also retained rights to the original brought it earlier at a modicum amount and it turned out to be a more than worthy investment.


    The makers made 35 times more money on their investment with the original and since the sequel is much grander and highly anticipated, Excel entertainment has to sign a cheque of a much steeper price.

    Prashanth Neel directorial KGF Chapter 2 is seeing some exciting new Bollywood additions too. Sanjay Dutt will play the antagonist and whose first look for the film has already been revealed and which also invited a lot of fan frenzy. Actress Raveena Tandon will also be a part of this pan Indian project and will be seen essaying the role of a politician.

    While a release date has not yet been set for the film, the teaser of the movie was released on lead actor Yash’s birthday earlier this month.
