Kiara Advani Bags Her First Female-Centric Film Titled Indoo Ki Jawani

Kiara Advani seems to be on a roll. The actress, who is now busy promoting her upcoming film, Kabir Singh, has signed yet another film titled Indoo Ki Jawani. Produced by Nikkhil Advani, Niranjan Iyengar and Ryan Stephen, this film will be a coming of age comedy.

Kiara Advani will be seen in the film as Indoo Gupta, a girl from Ghaziabad. It will be about the hilarious chaos that Indoo gets sucked into, thanks to her left swipes and right swipes on a dating app. This will also be Kiara's first female-centric film. Talking about her character to Mumbai Mirror, the actress said,

“Indoo is edgy, lovable and quirky. The dialect is completely new so I’m going to do a lot of workshops to get it right. I can't wait to start shooting. This is such a special script, I think we were meant to do it together."

Talking about whether she has ever used a dating app, Kiara revealed:

“Nope, but I have friends using these apps and have heard a lot of fun stories of their experiences. But nothing compared to what we have for you."

Indoo Ki Jawani will also mark Bengali writer and filmmaker Abir Sengupta's debut in Bollywood. It will be produced by Nikkhil Advani, who had been looking forward to collaborating with Kiara for a long time. Talking about the film, he revealed,

“Some time ago, my daughter Keya came to my office and while looking at the posters of the films we have made asked why all of them had only men. Around the time, I heard this story that Niranjan and Ryan brought to us and fell in love with it. Thankfully, it revolves around a female protagonist.”

The film will go on floors in September. Kiara Advani has quite a few projects in her kitty right now. She will be next seen in Kabir Singh. She will also be a part of Good News and Shershah.
