Kriti Sanon to play an assassin in Nikhil Dwivedi and Anurag Kashyap’s Kill Bill adaptation; Deets inside

Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon is one of the busiest bees in the industry at the moment with as many as 6 exciting projects in the pipeline, including Om Raut’s Adipurush alongside Saif Ali Khan and Prabhas, and Bachchan Pandey opposite Akshay Kumar. Well, according to latest reports, the actress is now in talks with Nikhil Dwivedi for the Indian adaptation of Quentin Tarantino’s 2003 masterpiece Kill Bill. The project is being helmed by Anurag Kashyap and the actress will step into Uma Thurman’s shoes for her first out and out action film.

In a report shared by Pinkvilla, a source was quoted saying, “Nikhil has been working closely on the script of Kill Bill adaptation with Anurag Kashyap all through the lockdown. The duo are calling it a homage to the original film and have finally locked a script that does justice to the legacy of the Quentin Tarantino directorial. Anurag and Nikhil have now taken a step ahead to move on to the casting front and initiated conversations with Kriti Sanon to play the lead.”

Kriti’s character is that of an assassin, termed as the deadliest woman in the world. Other than her, two other actresses will be roped in to portray the key roles in the film. The project is expected to go on floors by early 2022, after Kriti has wrapped up her other films. Well, we can’t wait to see the actress in this exciting new avatar!
