Lara Dutta Relives Andaaz Days With Priyanka Chopra In A Special Message, Says They Were Such 'Kacha Papads'

As Priyanka Chopra celebrates 20 years in the entertainment world the actress shared a video montage of her first few films along with a special message from her Andaaz co-star Lara Dutta. Recalling the start of their journeys together Lara reminisces their initial days as actresses saying they were such ‘kaccha papads’ who had each others’ back.

Priyanka penned a note with the video about her first few films including Thamizhan her acting debut opposite South star Vijay, Hero: The Love Story of a Spy and Andaaz where she and Lara re-united after winning Miss World and Miss Universe respectively in the year 2000. The actress who is today a global star wrote, “Seems like another lifetime now... back when it all started and I fell in love with the movies. Being in Indian movies was like entering a magical world.. I went in blind, with no idea what to expect and no formal training. It’s been a rollercoaster ride of challenges and milestones with so much I’ve learned since and so many incredible people I met along the way. I’d like to thank everyone who took a chance on me at the beginning. These 3 movies set me up on a trajectory I would never have expected.”

In the video Lara recalling their days of working together on Andaaz and revealed how they were stranded by the crew after shooting for a song on the sand dunes of South Africa. The actress recalls how they were so new to the entire experience of shooting and were so engrossed in perfecting their take together that they never realized that the crew had already packed up and left.

Agreeing with Lara’s thoughtful video message for her Priyanka acknowledged they were novices and thanked her saying, “Can't agree more lala paaji @larabhupathi... We were such kaccha papads (novices) !?? Thank you for your beautiful words... you are as gracious and kind as the first day we met.”
