Her niece Rachna Shah told Bombay Times, Lataji is deeply concerned about the lives lost amid the pandemic. The paper has quoted her as saying, “She told us that this was not the time for celebration. She wants to pray for those who lost their lives in the pandemic. She will be spending the day with her family members and will eat daal, rice and aloo ki sabzi for lunch.”

From the Prime Minister of India to many  Bollywood actors took to their official Twitter handle to wish the living legend a very happy birthday.
