Fans were over the moon with joy when Bollywood actress Ananya Panday and South superstar Vijay Deverakonda announced their next film in February last year. Helmed by the very talented Puri Jagannadh, this project was tentatively titled Fighter. In March, the team began shooting and viral pictures of Ananya and Vijay’s bike ride became the talk of the town. The audience was super excited to see the two together on the big screen. However, the shooting came to a halt when a nationwide lockdown was declared due to the pandemic.

Ananya and Vijay’s film has been titled Liger and the first look has left us impressed. In this post, Vijay is sporting a deadly look and has red boxing gloves on, while in his background we see a picture featuring half a tiger face and half a lion face, hence the name Liger (Lion and Tiger).
