    Maharaja: Aamir Khan's Son Junaid's Debut Film Will Be Set In 1862; To Also Have Jaideep Ahlawat And Sharvari Wagh

    For quite some time, news of Aamir Khan's son, Junaid Khan's Bollywood debut has been doing the rounds. It was earlier reported that the film would be under the banner of YRF, under their 50th-anniversary celebrations projects and that it would be helmed by Hichki director Siddharth P. Malhotra. Now, quite a few details about the film are out.

    If a report in Bollywood Hungama is to be believed, then the film will also star Sharvari Wagh and Jaideep Ahlawat. Sharvari, who will be making her debut with Bunty Aur Bubli 2, would play the female lead, whereas Pataal Lok fame Jaideep Ahlawat would play a Godman named Jadunathji Brijratanji Maharaj. In fact, the film would be a period drama, based on the 1862 Maharaj Libel Case, in which Maharaj had filed a case against a reformer journalist names Karsandas Mulji for raising questions on the values of a sect called the Vallabhacharya Sampradaya. The Maharaj was a part of the sect and was accused of having sexual liaisons with female devotees. Junaid would play Mulji in the film. The film has been tentatively titled Maharaja..

    The film will be shot in Madh Island and will go on floors in 2021. The official announcement is yet to be made and we just can't wait for it!
