Mahesh Bhatt Reveals He Met Sushant Singh Rajput Only Twice; Says Rhea Chakraborty Considers Him Her Guru

Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput left the entire nation in shock when he breathed his last on 14^th June. The Mumbai Police is currently investigating the suicide case and have questioned over 30 people so far, including the late actor’s family members, his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and Bollywood celebrities such as Sanjay Leela Bhansali, YRF head honcho Aditya Chopra and Sushant’s Dil Bechara co-star Sanjana Sanghi. The latest celebrity who recorded his statement in Sushant’s case is filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt.

In a report shared by Indian Express, a senior police officer was quoted saying, “Bhatt told us that he had met Rajput only twice, the first time in August 2018, after which he had also praised Rajput in a Twitter post, and the second time in January this year.” The filmmaker revealed that he did not discuss films or casting the actor in any of his films during either meeting. At the first meeting, they reportedly spoke about a book Bhatt claimed to have been writing at that time and the second meeting was held at Sushant’s house, where Rhea was also present.

Another report in TOI reveals that in his statement Mahesh Bhatt shared that he was close to Rhea only because they worked together in the 2018 film Jalebi. As he gave her a chance in his film, Rhea respects him as a mentor and considers him to be her guru. Bhatt also revealed that Sushant wanted to work with him, even if it was a small role in his film. However, the filmmaker stated that he did not intend to cast the late actor in any of his upcoming projects and also clarified that he never offered Sushant a role in Sadak 2.

Today morning it was reported that filmmaker Karan Johar will be recording his statement in Sushant’s suicide case sometime this week.
