Mahima Chaudhary Reveals Ajay Devgn Called Off Dil Kya Kare Shoot For Her As She Was Uncomfortable After An Accident

Mahima Chaudhary may not be seen on the silver screen these days but the striking beauty is far from forgotten by her fans. The actress who lit up the screen with films like Pardes, Dil Kya Kare, Lajja, Dil Hai Tumhara and several others recently got candid about a major accident that almost finished her career while her film  Dil Kya Kare was in the making.

The actress had met with a road accident when Dil Kya Kare starring Ajay Devgn was filming in Bangalore. Mahima walked away from the accident with shards of glass hitting her face which left her scarred. She recalled how after this she was called 'scarface' in the media and Ajay Devgn helping her led to speculations that they were dating even when had just tied the knot with Kajol.

Talking about Kajol and Ajay’s generosity after the accident, “Ajay Devgn and Kajol, who were my producers at that time, they saw to it that nobody in the industry got to know about it. Because at that time, it would have devastated my career. I knew I was not going to make a comeback. But Ajay was like, ‘I get scars like this all the time’, and I thought he is just being nice because he just wants me not to lose heart. But actually, he was right.”

She added that the star even took her Bombay to see the best of doctors for her treatment,“ He was a very very generous producer, He just looked after everything. Sending me to the right doctors, seeing to it that I got the best treatment because I and my mother were quite new to Mumbai and so he said, ‘No you’re not doing this treatment in Bangalore, I am taking you to Bombay and sending you to the best.’”

Mahima recalled that after returning to sets she was very conscious and how sensing her discomfort Ajay Devgn even called to the shoot and even agreed to the set getting dismantled till she was ok. This act of humanity on Ajay’s behalf led to rumors of them dating to go around.
