Malaika Arora On Testing Positive For COVID-19: "The Biggest Challenge Was Not Being Able To Meet My Son"

Malaika Arora had tested positive for the novel coronavirus few days back. The actress had confirmed the news on her social media. It was her sister, Amrita, who stood for her reports went viral. She was quarantining at home and completed 14-days of isolation just yesterday. Now, she has opened up about her ordeal.

Talking to Mid Day, she said, "Luckily, my family had not contracted the virus. I was shocked when I tested positive because I had not shown any major symptoms or experienced discomfort. I was advised to self-quarantine at home. I made sure that I didn't step out of my room, and didn't come in contact with anyone, including my son [Arhaan], the house staff and our dog Casper."

She found staying away from her son to be the most difficult part in these days, adding, "We spoke to each other from our balconies." Despite the weakness, she turned to simple yogasanas to keep herself healthy. She also added, "My advice to everyone is to exercise regularly, and consume healthy food and immunity drinks. You may or may not be able to escape the virus, but your immunity decides how much pain you will go through."

We are just happy that the actress has recovered.
