    Mandana Karimi, the Iranian model whose claim to fame was her stint on Bigg Boss season 9 is ready to make her web series debut with Casino on Zee 5. The actress who has now spend a considerable amount of time in Mumbai was recently asked in an interview what the city and the film industry have taught her over the years and her reply was truly a winner.


    Mandana while speaking to the Indian Express said, “I learned that you don’t need to fit in. For years, I tried to be as Indian as possible. But eventually, I realized people should accept you for who you are. Trying to fit in is the biggest mistake one can make. That realization is what made me post my childhood photos too because I felt people do not know me and they need to know where I come from.”

    She has often in the past spoken about her journey and her conservative Muslim upbringing. Mandana switched to being a model from being an air hostess and then gradually moved to acting.

    The actress settled in Mumbai in 2013 and has since been seen in several ads with stars like Shahrukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor. She has also been seen in movies like Roy and Kya Kool Hain Hum 3. On TV she’s known for her stint in Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 9 and also the TV show Ishqbaaaz.
