Manish Malhotra Unlike Kangana Given 7 Days To Respond To BMC As His Property Also Gets Flagged For Illegal Construction

After Kangana Ranaut, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has now flagged fashion designer Manish Malhotra’s property in Palli Hill, Bandra for turning his home to an office. On Wednesday morning BMC official bulldozed Kangana’s adjoining office of Manikarnika Films for alleged illegal construction after giving her a 24 house notice.

According to a Mumbai Mirror report, unlike Kangana, Manish has been given a one week notice to justify converting his residence into an office space. Among the violations, it has been reported that BMC has flagged the property for unauthorised change of the first floor from residential to commercial. Apart from the illegal conversion of the space questions have been raised over Manish erecting partitions and cabins on the floor without due notification.

If Malhotra fails to respond he can be prosecuted by the BMC under Section 475A of the MMC Act and his property like Kangana’s can be demolished under Section 351 of the same act.

Kangana who was on her way to Mumbai when the BMC official invaded her property later approached the Bombay High Court who not only put a stay on further demolition but also asked BMC for answers to justify their actions including trespass on the property in the absence of the owner.

Many folks from the world of movies and politics have condemned BMC’s raid on the actress’s office which came after her spat with the Maharashtra government.
