Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota Actress Radhika Madan Reveals Many Had Asked Her To Return To Television

The gorgeous Radhika Madan is one of those actresses who successfully shifted from Indian television to the Hindi film industry. She began her journey with Vishal Bhardwaj's drama Pataakha in 2018, but it wasn’t the first film she shot in her career. Her first film was actually Vasan Bala and Ronnie Screwvala’s Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, a one of its kind project which garnered lots of praises from the audience as well as critics. Also starring Bhagyashree's son and debutant Abhimanyu Dassani, the film was a breakthrough for Radhika.

However, her journey has not been easy. On the film’s second anniversary, the actress revealed that many had asked her to return to television. In a chat with ETimes, Radhika opened up about her shift to the film industry and shared, “It has been very amazing; I have no complaints. I am really grateful for all the opportunities that I have received. I think it is all about persistence. After ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’, I had no film in my kitty. Then ‘Pataakha’ happened.”

She went on to share, “I had just come out of a very hit show on television, so there were many people from the TV industry who were calling me, reminding me that they had told you that it was not going to be easy. They were telling me to come back. I was at a crossroad. It is in moments like these that you need to show persistence and belief in yourself. I am glad it paid off.”

Post Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, Radhika left the audience impressed with her performance in Homi Adajania’s Angrezi Medium. Her chemistry with on-screen father and late actor Irrfan Khan especially touched our hearts. The actress is now gearing up for her next, titled Shiddat, in which she will share the screen with Vicky Kaushal’s brother Sunny Kaushal.
