Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota Turns 2: Abhimanyu Dassani Remembers How Mother Bhagyashree Reacted To His Debut Film

Two years ago, the handsome Abhimanyu Dassani made his smashing debut in the film industry with the one of a kind film, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota. Directed by Vasan Bala and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, the film also featured the very talented Radhika Madan, Gulshan Devaiah and Mahesh Manjrekar. May it be the intriguing story-line, entertaining performances or the hilarious one-liners, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota offered all of it and much more. Today, the critically acclaimed film completes two years.

On this special occasion, Abhimanyu looked back at his two years in the industry. In a chat with ETimes, the young star kid also remembered how his mother and actress Bhagyashree had reacted after watching his debut film. Abhimanyu shared, “My mother was very happy when she first saw the film. She had tears in her eyes as she hugged me and told me how proud she was of me. Mom also said that she was glad that I believed in myself and did what I wanted to do. I always wanted to make my family proud and I am glad that my efforts paid off.”

When asked about the best compliment he got for his performance, Abhimanyu revealed that when he received an award for the film in Macau, renowned director Mabel Cheung told him that she sees a young Jackie Chan in him, just before presenting him with the award. The actor shared, “Just having my name mentioned in the same sentence as Jackie Chan, made my day.”

Abhimanyu will next shine on the big screen in Nikamma, co-starring Shirley Setia and Shilpa Shetty. We wish him all the best for his bright future!
