Master: Rights Of Vijay's Latest Release Bought By Murad Khetani, Hindi Remake On Cards?

Thalapathi Vijay's Master has been a hit down south. The actor had requested theatres to go with 100 percent occupancy after they were instructed to follow a 50 percent occupancy protocol due to the pandemic. The film saw crowds lineup in front of the theatres in different parts and has also managed to collect a great amount. Now, we are getting to hear that a Hindi remake of the same is on cards.

Yes, you read that right. A report in Pinkvilla suggests that Murad Khetani has bought the rights of the film. A source said, “Around two weeks back, Murad along with the team of Endemol visited Chennai for a special screening of Master, after coordinating with the producers of Tamil original. They loved the film and decided to bankroll it in Hindi. This meeting led to paperwork and the producers now officially have the Hindi remake rights under their kitty. They have bagged the rights for a hefty sum.”

The film brought together two big Tamil stars- Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi, and the Hindi version too might have two big stars coming together. The team is currently zeroing in on a director and the source added that it will go on floors in the latter half of the year! Isn't that exciting?
