Me Too: Queen Director Vikas Bahl Cleared Of Sexual Assault Charges, Will Be Given Credit For Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30!

The director of Kangana Ranaut’s Queen, Vikas Bahl had been charged with sexual assault in the wake of the #MeToo movement. A woman had narrated the harrowing incident of how she was sexually assaulted by Vikas and this was also corroborated by Vikas’ former partners Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane. This not just led to the disintegration of the production house, Phantom, but he was also promptly removed from the film he was directing at that time- Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30.

But now, it is being reported that all charges have been dropped against the director. According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, an internal inquiry was set by Reliance Entertainment, which had 50% stakes of Phantom and they have cleared him of the charges. This also implies that he will get credit as the director for Super 30.

Shibasish Sarkar, CEO of Reliance Entertainment, has confirmed the news and said,

"Yes, it’s true that the ICC committee report has exonerated Vikas. With ICC clearing Vikas Bahl"s name we don't have a choice but to reinstate his credit as director of Super 30."

It has also been reported that the complainant had failed to show up in front of the Internal Committee. A source said,

“Despite repeated reminders, the complainant did not appear before the committee. Those associated with the complainant and the respondent were interviewed by the committee. It also recorded documentation and correspondence between the two and based on this, it has unanimously concluded that Vikas Bahl stands exonerated of all charges leveled against him.”

This decision will take a huge turn now since Bahl had filed a defamation case against Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap. Only time will tell what will transpire now.
