Meera Chopra, Tanuj Virwani and Freddy Daruwala's next's cast, crew held at hotel after producer claims to have run out of cash?

Meera Chopra, Tanuj Virwani and Freddy Daruwala had recently been shooting for a project. Called Guddu Ki Girlfriend, the shoot was happening at Benaras. But looks like the cast and crew members of this project faced a horrific situation after the producer, Illyas Guddu claimed he had run out of funds. In fact, 150 people, including Freddy Daruwala and Sukesh Anand were held at the hotel!

According to a report in ETimes, the staff of the hotel refused to let them cast and crew go after the producer of the project claimed to have run out of money. Sukesh Anand said, "I don't think I'll complete the film. We had a harrowing time. The hotel did not let us go. I reached out to Nupur Alankar, a senior actress in the TV industry who is known to help anybody in distress, and she put out a tweet, tagging Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath." He further added, "Eight people, however, have still not been given permission by the hotel to leave the premises. That's understandable as they are the ones who were at the helm there. Why were we actors, technicians, etc locked up? We were certainly not responsible for the producer having run out of money."

While Freddy Daruwala was also stuck in this situation, Meera Chopra and Tanuj Virwani did not have to face it because they had checked out earlier. The report also suggested that most actors might opt-out. However, Tanuj Virwani confirmed that he'll continue to be a part. The producer, Illiyas Guddu was also not available for any comment.
