Milind Soman's Nude Picture From Goa Beach Invites Trouble From Local Political Party; Case Registered

Actor and model Milind Soman turned 55 on November 4 and marked this special occasion by sharing a nude picture of his run on the beach clicked by his wife Ankita Konwar. While the photo was rage on social media, it has now stirred controversy.

Milind’s nude picture has upset a local political party. Goa Suraksha Manch has filed a case against the actor at the Vasco police station in the state alleging that the picture was obscene and is "spoiling the image and insulting the culture of Goa".

Before Soman, Poonam Pandey faced harsh consequences of shooting an allegedly obscene video on a Goa beach and was arrested by local police after a complaint was filed. The matter also led to the suspension of two local authorities. Poonam and her husband Sam Bombay are now out on bail.

When Milind’s picture and the news of Poonam’s complaint made headlines on the same day Apurva Asrani pointed out the double standards and wrote on Twitter, “#PoonamPandey & #MilindSoman both stripped down to their birthday suits in #Goa recently. Pandey partly, Soman completely. Pandey is in legal trouble--for obscenity. Soman is being lauded for his fit body at age 55. I guess we are kinder to our nude men than to our nude women.”
