Mr. India Remake: Teaser With Ranveer Singh Was To Be Unveiled On 26th January But Is Now Delayed...

There has been a lot going around Mr. India remake. Right after it was announced and Ali Abbas Zafar had taken to Twitter that it would be a series that is currently being developed, the director of the original, Shekhar Kapur, expressed his displeasure. Sonam Kapoor also tweeted about it and wrote how she found it to be disrespectful that neither her father Anil Kapoor nor the director was consulted before deciding on the remake. Now we are getting to hear that a teaser of the remake, with Ranveer Singh in the lead was supposed to be unveiled on 26th January, but did not.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, a teaser introducing Ranveer Singh as Mr. India and ending with the iconic Mogambo Khush Huya dialogue being played on a black screen was supposed to be introduced on Republic Day this year. However, it was delayed and hasn’t been aired yet!

The same portal has also reported that the sources have claimed that Boney Kapoor has sold the negative rights of the film to Zee Studios, which would be producing the remake. He now apparently wants the production house to credit him as the co-producer! There is indeed a lot of confusion about the future of this project and if it really happens, we hope that the makers will do justice to the iconic original!
