Mrunal Thakur And Priyanshu Painyuli To Join Ishaan Khatter In Pippa

Earlier this year, Raja Krishna Menon of Airlift fame announced his upcoming directorial Pippa, backed by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur, the film will be a war drama featuring Ishaan Khatter in the lead. He will play the role of Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta of the 45th Cavalry tank squadron who, along with his siblings, fought on the eastern front during the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971. The film is based on Balram Singh’s book titled The Burning Chaffees, 

Now the makers have also announced the rest of the cast for the film. Raj has now roped in Mrunal Thakur and Priyanshu Painyuli to join Ishaan in lead roles. The latter took to his Instagram handle to officially welcome the rest of the cast of Pippa, Ishaan posted a photo of along with Mrunal and Priyanshu and captioned it, "We're coming with all guns blazing. Welcome to the #Pippa troop, fam ;) @mrunalofficial2016 & @priyanshupainyuli @rajamenon #RonnieScrewvala #SiddharthRoyKapur @rsvpmovies @roykapurfilms."

Earlier.while speaking about the film, The Suitable Boy fame actor said that he is ‘exhilarated’ to be a part of the film, "I am exhilarated to be a part of a film of such magnitude and importance and getting a chance to play the role of the suave and spirited tank commander Captain Balram Mehta is a true privilege," Ishaan said in a statement.
