Mrunal Thakur Opts Out Of Ayushmann Khurrana’s Doctor G For Ishaan Khatter Starrer Pippa?

The very handsome and supremely talented Ayushmann Khurrana recently announced that his next film with Junglee Pictures has been titled Doctor G. This film was initially titled Stree Rog Vibhaag and back then rumors had suggested that the actor will be sharing the screen with either his Shubh Mangal Saavdhan co-star Bhumi Pednekar or newcomer Alaya F, who made her debut last year with Jawaani Jaaneman. However, the gorgeous Mrunal Thakur was the one to finally bag the project. Well, the beauty has now decided to opt out of the Ayushmann starrer.

In a report shared by Bollywood Hungama, a source revealed, “Mrunal had given her dates last year for this film, before the lockdown happened. Her role is a very strong one and the makers wanted this fresh pairing to add more value to the project. But now, when the crew decided on the dates, owing to Ayushmann's schedule, Mrunal had to opt out since she has already committed the same dates to her other films like Pippa. She conveyed the message to the makers and they mutually agreed on parting ways.”

Well, makers now have a month to look for another leading lady for Doctor G as Ayushmann will start shooting for it soon after wrapping up Anubhav Sinha’s next. Just like Article 15, the dynamic duo plan to finish the project within a month’s time. Mrunal, on the other hand, will soon begin prep for Pippa with Ishaan Khatter. The source revealed, “As for Mrunal, she had to pick between this and Pippa and she picked the latter as there's been advanced talks of a three film deal with RSVP for her.”
