Mukesh Bhatt Reacts To Luviena Lodh’s Allegations With A Defamation Suit, States Sumit Sabharwal Only An Employee

Producer Mukesh Bhatt has firmly opposed the allegations made by Bollywood actress Luviena Lodh, who alleged that filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has been harassing her. Luviena Lodh stated that she is married to Mahesh Bhatt’s nephew Sumit Sabharwal, who supplies drugs to the various actors, but the filmmaker has denied any relation with Sumit. 

In an interview with ETimes, Mukesh Bhatt claimed, "As mentioned in our defamation plaint submitted in the courts today, that Mr. Sumit Sabharwal is only an employee in my production company Vishesh Films for over 20 years as opposed to Ms. Luveena Lodh’s claims that he is our relative in various media reports and publications.”

Mukesh Bhatt also stated that their name being dragged into this controversial move is because Luviena wants to garner publicity. “Ms. Luveena Lodh has consciously and maliciously orchestrated a campaign along with her benefactors to nefariously defame and besmirch the good name and reputation of my brother and myself with the sole and ulterior motive to garner publicity in the hopes that the same would motivate a lucrative out of court settlement in her matrimonial dispute with Sumit. We have the highest faith in our judicial system and intend to see this suit to its logical end.”

 Luvenia Lodh had shared a video wherein she had stated that Mahesh Bhatt controls everything in Bollywood and also called him the biggest don of the industry. She also said that if anything was to happen to her or her family, the people responsible would be Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt.

Earlier today, the actress also took to her Instagram handle and shared a post for the people who have been against her and those who are supporting her. Her statement read, ‘My Past 6 months have been the worst experience of my life, I could earlier never imagine the pain and grief of people who were bullied by powerful individuals but now I can relate with them’. She further added, ‘My fight was against my husband, but if you had any kind of dealing him, relating to drugs, women or anything illegal, I say you are a culprit too.’’
