Mumbai Police Says Sushant's Sister Mitu Singh Was A No Show When Asked To Record Detailed Statement

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has become a bigger mystery after his father KK Singh filed an F.I.R against Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty and taking the whole matter in an entirely different direction from Mumbai Police’s probe. A four member team from Patna that arrived in Mumbai on Tuesday and has launched an independent investigation in the matter. An officer from Mumbai police has now stated that neither Suhsant’s father nor his sister said a word against actress Rhea in their signed statement with the Mumbai police.

The Mumbai police had recorded statements of nearly 40 people in the case and had also summoned Sushant’s sister Mitu Singh to record a detailed statement again but she was a no show. A Mumbai Police officer on the condition of anonymity told Mumbai Mirror, “Not only did she not mention Rhea on the day of Sushant’s death and then again in her signed statement, she also did not respond to several requests by the investigating team to appear for recording of more detailed statement. The officer said the FIR in Bihar is an attempt to range police forces of two states against each other and get the case, eventually, transferred to the CBI.”

Sushant’s father had also approached Joint Commissioner of Police Vinay Kumar Chaubey but only to seek police help in vacating Sushant’s rented apartment.

According to family’s lawyer Vikas Singh the Mumbai police had refused to file an F.I.R in the case and asked the family to name a few big production houses they could investigate.
