    In an unprecedented situation, as Mumbai experiences a power cut due to grid failure, several residents took to their twitter handle to report blackout across the city. Not only them, but Bollywood celebrities also took to their social media handle to react to the major electricity fallout by sharing memes on the current situation and also some notes of positivity.

    While actor Amitabh Bachchan asked everyone to keep calm, and wrote, "Entire city in power outage .. somehow managing this message .. keep calm all shall be well," His son, Abhishek Bachchan took to his twitter handle and shared a funny meme on the electricity failure, saying as it is 2020, someone had to switch the power off, he wrote, “Why is everyone so surprised? It’s 2020. Someone had to switch the power off…”

    Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit tweeted about the electricity failure as the ‘Massive administration failure’, "In the history of #Mumbai, the city has never seen such a power failure and this grid failure is a massive symptom of a failing administration who manages governance thru PR drives. #poweroutage #powercut". Actor Sonu Sood also took to his social media handle and shared that it has been 2 hours since the power failure in Mumbai, but even today, there are homes where you don't get electricity even for two hours. 


    Senior actor Anupam Kher, Fukre actor Ali Faizal, Kunal Kemmu, and singer Armaan Malik also took to their twitter handles to post about the power failure by sharing funny posts and memes.

    An official said that restoration is under process and will take one hour. Power minister Nitin Raut shared the same. Amid the power failure, shares of Tata Power crashed by two percent. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued helpline numbers in case of emergencies.
