Name of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions Removed From Janhvi Kapoor’s Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl Trailer, Poster?

Recently Netflix announced 17 new originals which will keep the audience happy and hooked to their screens till the time theatres reopen and things go back to ‘normal’. One of the most awaited projects which will be directly releasing on the streaming giant is Janhvi Kapoor starrer Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. Two days ago a new poster of the film was shared and the much-anticipated trailer was released yesterday. Janhvi successfully impressed the audience and left them wanting more!

While the film has been co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, their name was nowhere to be seen. It was neither there in the new poster, nor the trailer. This was quite surprising as the old poster clearly said ‘A Dharma Productions Film’. Buzz suggests that this new development could be a result of the nepotism debate, which came into the limelight once again after late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise. KJo has been under the radar of netizens ever since and is constantly being trolled. Take a look at the old poster:

Directed by Sharan Sharma, the biographical film follows the real life story of Indian Air Force pilot Gunjan Saxena, the first Indian female air-force pilot in combat. While Janhvi will be seen in the titular role, Pankaj Tripathi will portray the character of her on-screen father and Angad Bedi will be seen as Gunjan's brother. The film is all set to premiere on Netflix on 12th August.
